About Digital Signage
Discover Digital Signage: A Smarter Way to Share Information
Digital signage is fast becoming one of the most effective communication tools for schools, retailers, offices, and public spaces. Whether you're informing, advertising, educating or engaging, a well-designed digital signage setup lets you deliver content dynamically, clearly, and efficiently.
If you're considering moving away from printed posters, static noticeboards, or manual updates, digital signage might be the modern solution you've been looking for.
What Exactly is Digital Signage?
At its core, digital signage uses commercial-grade displays—like LCD, LED, or OLED screens—to present multimedia content. This could include videos, scrolling text, images, live feeds, menus, or announcements.
You’ll find these systems in school reception areas, estate agents’ windows, café menus, waiting rooms, and retail stores. They are flexible, remotely controllable, and easy to update, allowing organisations to stay current, save time, and reduce printing costs.
Which Brands Do We Work With—and Why?
We only recommend brands we know, trust, and have worked with extensively. Here's what makes each of them stand out:
BenQ
Ideal for vibrant visuals and user-friendly scheduling. With tools like X-Sign CMS and Pantone-validated screens, BenQ is a great choice for retail or education environments where colour clarity and content control matter.
ViewSonic
Perfect for organisations that want simplicity with power. These displays offer wide viewing angles, integrated media players, and the highly regarded myViewBoard CMS—great for schools, healthcare, and office communication.
Clevertouch
A leader in interactive digital displays. Their CleverLive CMS and Android-based platforms allow for touch-enabled signage and multi-user control, well-suited to educational institutions, shared workspaces, and high-traffic public zones.
Allsee
Allsee digital signage offers reliable, 24/7 commercial displays with easy plug-and-play setup and remote content management. Ideal for advertising, branding, and internal messaging, they boost engagement and communication. Cost-effective and versatile, Allsee solutions help businesses deliver dynamic, real-time content that captures attentions and enhances customer experience.
Real-World Examples
To make it more relatable, here are a few examples based on real customer experiences:
- A retail estate office used BenQ displays in their window to loop new property listings. Staff can easily swap content throughout the day via the CMS, and customers outside see up-to-date information instantly—even after hours.
- A primary school placed a ViewSonic screen in reception to display welcome messages, weather updates, key notices, and a scrolling list of birthdays. With its cloud-based CMS, staff manage the display from the office or remotely.
- A café chain used Clevertouch screens across multiple branches to show daily menus, allergy notices, and promotional offers. Changes are made centrally and appear instantly at all sites, reducing waste and ensuring consistency.
- A conference centre adopted SMART panels outside each meeting room to show live booking info and welcome messages, all managed through a central dashboard.
How to Choose the Right System for You - Here’s a simple step-by-step to help guide your decision:
- Define your goal – Are you looking to inform, advertise, entertain, or instruct? Understanding your aim helps you select the right software and hardware.
- Evaluate the location – Consider lighting conditions, foot traffic, wall space, and whether your display will be inside or outside.
- Choose screen size and resolution – Larger spaces and text-heavy content need bigger, high-resolution displays. Think 4K for image clarity and legibility.
- Plan your content strategy – What will you show? How often will it change? Will it need scheduling by time of day or location?
- Check compatibility – Make sure your CMS works with your operating system and that your displays can connect to your Wi-Fi or network infrastructure.
- Consider growth – Will you expand to more screens later? Make sure your CMS and hardware are scalable.
